Terms and Conditions
We shall manufacture the blinds as per the specifications mentioned on your quotation, whether the site visit has been made by our team or not. We specifically send each customer the quote for approval first. We shall not be responsible in case your windows are out of square or the blinds do not fit your windows. Note that if ever the dimensions given are not accurate, and that the blinds are longer or shorter in height, it is possible to modify them at an additional charge. But if a blind is shorter in width, it is impossible to modify it and we shall not be held responsible for such inaccuracy unless the blinds do not fit the dimensions mentioned on the quotation approved. 2. COLOUR REFERENCE
Please note that whilst every effort is made to ensure blinds match swatches, dye batches from our manufacturers may vary slightly from time to time. We cannot guarantee an exact match even on our samples. We will not make any refunds based on close colour difference. It is also the customer’s responsibility to verify that the colour reference given on the quote is the one chosen before sending any approval.
3. NATURAL PRODUCTS
Blinds.mu ltd will not be responsible for mildew, fungus or wood borer claims on natural products.
4. DELIVERY & FIXING
We would advise the customer to check all the blinds and fittings upon taking delivery as once delivery is taken, any claims made will be subject to our warranty and after-sale conditions mentioned below. For fixing, we do expect the customer to monitor the work in progress and we shall not be held responsible for any damages caused to the premises. Note that fixing should be done on a concrete solid surface and if the blinds are fixed on a false ceiling on request, the force required to manipulate the blinds may cause it to detach and cause injury. Once fixing is completed and the delivery note signed confirming that the work has been done to your satisfaction, any claims made afterwards will be subjected to our after-sale clause below. Full cash payment should be made on delivery of the items before fixing is carried out unless prior management’s approval has been obtained. Interest will be charged at 1% over and above commercial bank rates on all sums outstanding after 30 days from date of delivery. The blinds remain the property of Blinds.mu Ltd until full settlement of account. A surcharge of Rs 350 will be claimed per return cheque due to bank charges. In case of recovery of any outstanding balance through an attorney, a commission of 10% due to the attorney will be payable by the client.
Order cannot be changed or cancelled if the goods are custom-made or have been altered in any way as these goods will not be resalable. Any changes or modifications need to be notified to us within 24 hrs. In case the order was carried out only with a deposit, we reserve the right to claim the remaining balance even if delivery is not taken. Uncollected goods will be disposed of after 3 months, forfeiting any deposit made.
7.CANCELLATION BY US
We reserve the right to cancel your order if we have insufficient stock or if the goods were listed at an incorrect price due to an error in the pricing information made by us or received from our suppliers. If we do cancel, we will notify you by phone and will refund any deposit within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for any reason.
We do cover our products with a six months warranty from defects arising from its mechanism excluding its cord, chains, fabrics and slating. This warranty does not apply to any of the parts that have failed due to accident, buyer negligence, alterations, misuse, abuse, improper handling, improper installation or maintenance. Failure to follow instructions for operating or installing the product, loss of colour intensity due to exposure to the sun over a long period of time, exposure to salt air, or normal wear and tear shall not be covered by this warranty. Blind slats may vary slightly in colour – especially in the case of wood slats. This variation is inherent in the nature of wood.
For products still under our warranty, repairs will be made free of charge (Parts & Labour) at our factory located at Dagotiere using your own mean of transportation. Please contact the administration on 5880 5880 for directions. Otherwise, if you wish to have an on-site repair service, a MINIMUM transportation cost of Rs 500 or more will be charged depending on the location.
Please note that upon termination of our warranty period, we are pleased to inform you that we will offer free labour for the next 18 months for any repairs brought to our factory. For onsite maintenance, free labour will be provided with a basic transportation cost during the same period.
We shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered, or for any delay in doing so or for any change of the specified delivery date or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control, including, without limitation, third party default, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident. Our liability, if any will not exceed Rs 1,000 per order.
